Blue Blood
Whenever we hear of blue Blood we think of some noble family or some aristocrats. Earlier people used to say that aristocratic people have blue blood, but today with the help of science, we know that all human beings have red colour blood because of the presence of a red colour pigment called haemoglobin. But do you know that there are organisms with blue blood too?? Some organisms like octopus really do have blue blood running through their circulatory system. It is so because these organisms have a protein called Haemocyanin in them. Haemocyanin have copper instead of iron in them. When the oxygen molecules bind with the copper molecules, the blood becomes blue in colour. For knowing such more interesting facts stay tuned.🙂🙂
